How Do You Design A Toy Car?
Wooden toy cars are a great toy for a small child as they can be created with only a few dollars worth of supplies and in just a few hours. For older children, you can even allow them to design and create their own toy cars. This makes for an excellent teaching aide in a lesson on aerodynamics, as you can hold a race down a slope at the end of the lesson to see which student or group created the most aerodynamic car. Sketch the shape of your toy car onto graph paper, with each square on the paper representing 1 millimeter. Sketch from the side, the front and the top, as the more thorough your plans are, the more easily you can re-create them in the toy. Draw the shapes for your car on balsa wood sheets. The car will consist of many pieces of balsa wood glued together.
