How Do You Design A Swimming Pool Cabana?
A cabana is a small building or a temporary tentlike structure adjacent to a swimming pool. In the case of cabanas at resort pools or on the beach, the tent creates a private space. A backyard cabana can double as a guesthouse and can feature all the amenities swimmers need so that they don’t have to go into the house. Decide what your cabana will be used for before you start and plan a design that complements your landscaping. Design an open floor plan with a full bath and a galley kitchen. Equip the kitchen with a standard refrigerator, a double sink and a microwave oven. Install a single-drawer dishwasher under the counter. Reserve room for a closet that contains a stackable washer and dryer for cleaning towels and robes. Floor the building with water-resistant materials that are also nonslip, such as heavy-duty carpeting or rubber flooring. Use floor-to-ceiling glass along the side facing the pool. Sliding doors or French doors that can be opened wide make the cabana inviting. Othe
