How Do You Design A School Badge?
A school badge is very similar to a family coat of arms. The badge should represent through words and symbols just what the school is all about, and what its values are. While a school motto and school colors are a good place to start, you’ll have to put in some serious thought if you intend on designing a more intricate school badge. Brainstorm and write down all of the things you want your badge to convey, such as scholarly effort and achievement, academic prowess, community, honor, pride or even social position. Decide on your symbols. For instance, if you’re going to use the school colors in your badge, find out what they represent. If you have a school motto, decide if you want to use it as words, or if you’d rather portray the feeling of the motto through symbols. If you have a school mascot, it may be appropriate to work it into the badge. Put all of your symbols together into a badge. As an example, let’s say that a school’s colors are red and black, their mascot is a wolf, and
