How Do You Design A Pool Deck With A Bar?
Designing a bar for a new or existing pool deck adds entertainment space to your outdoor landscape. An outdoor bar reduces foot traffic throughout your home when you’re having a party and guests who don’t swim won’t feel like the odd man out if there’s an area dedicated to adult pastimes. Commonly used pool decking materials include concrete, wood, composite materials and natural stone or tile. Bar designs include common elements like a cooler, storage for glasses and seating. Choose a non-slip, waterproof material for the pool deck. Your design can follow the outline of the pool, frame the pool in a square or rectangle or be a free-form shape with cutouts for trees and bushes. The deck does not have to encircle the pool. Place decking at one end of a naturalized pool. Locate the bar of the pool deck away from the edge of the pool. Create a raised area, made from the same materials as the deck, large enough for a bar, and a table and chairs. Setting the bar on a raised platform creates
