Having a room in the house that a man can call his own can make an important contribution to family life. Everyone needs his own space, and it should reflect his personality. If the man enjoys sports, he may want to display sports memorabilia and pictures. If he is an avid reader, he may want a wall of books. You could consider a comfortable couch, a chair and a desk essentials–along with a big-screen television. Make your room sports-oriented. In a man’s room, less is often more. Don’t put up every souvenir or item of memorabilia you can get your hands on–just those that mean the most to you. Displaying too much is garish. A baseball fan might prominently display a ball autographed by Mickey Mantle, or a framed Hank Aaron jersey. You may have the program from the first game you ever attended or the first game you attended with your child.
