How Do You Design A Felting Needle Purse?

0

While you are much more apt to needle felt a purse than to make a felting needle purse, this project combines the two. Storing felting needles can be a challenge. They are too large for standard needle books and cannot easily pierce fabric or sheets of felt due to the barbs on the needles. You also need a storage system that protects your hands from the points and barbs in your felting or knitting bag. This little purse is a great addition to your felting bag and can keep your hands and your felting needles safe. Lay out layers of wool roving. Lay strips in a horizontal direction for the first layer, then vertically for the second. Three layers of roving should be adequate for the felt for this project. Mix a few drops of dish soap into several cups of water and heat it to just shy of boiling. Pour the water into the layers of wool, allowing it to soak in fully. Gently work the water into the roving, moving it from side to side and up and down. Soon, the wool strips will hold together.
