• Choose obstacles that are best for your dog. Some good things for a course might be seesaws, hurdles, tubes, and dog safe up-down ladders. Choose items that wouldn’t be too hard or too big, or small for your dog. Make sure everything is safe before using it. • Get a good mixup of things. Don’t get just one item. Set up everything in your backyard, or other spot where the agility course will be held. Everything should be at least 4 feet away from each other. If you don’t have enough space, try getting less items, or have levels and once your dog completes one level of items, clean the items up and set up the next level. • Mix up the order every now and then. Your dog should be used to the general obstacles, not just the routine. Begin training your dog. Get a few dog treats out and show them to your dog.
