How do you describe the colour blue, to someone who has been blind their entire life?

Unfortionatly there is no way to describe a color to someone who is blind – in fact I could tell a child that red is blue their entire life and the meaning of the word would be completely changed. If I had to explain it to someone who was blind I would explain that blue is the color of the sky and the sea and that it is usually associated psychologically with sadness, trust, and intelligence, I would also probably mention that it is a primary color meaning that it is used to create other colors.
