How Do You Derive The General Solution Of An Quadratic Equation Or Any Higher Degree Equation?

you can solve a quadratic equation by three methods first method is factorization method second is perfect square method third is formula method the easiest one is the first method for example x^2 – 12x +35 = 0 in this method all u need to do is to split the middle term in such a way that when u add them u get the middle term and when u multiply them u get the constant(third) term so in this equation u can split -12 like -7 and -5 so wen u add them u get -12 that is ur middle term and when u multiply them u get the third term that is +35 so this is how u solve ur equation x^2 -12x + 35 =0 x^2 – 7x – 5x + 35 = 0 x(x -7) -5(x -7) = 0 therefore (x – 5)(x – 7)= 0 (x – 5) = 0 or (x – 7) = 0 therefore x – 5 = 0 or x – 7 = 0 there fore x = 5 or x = 7 solution set = {5,7}
