How Do You Delete Windows Live Registry Keys?
Windows Live is the collective brand name for a set of services and software products from Microsoft. At the Windows Live homepage, one has access to Hotmail, SkyDrive and Windows Live Messenger. In order to log in and access any of these features, a user is required to create a Windows Live ID. If for any reason one would want to uninstall a Windows Live program, it is necessary to delete the Windows Live registry keys. Click “Start.” Type “REGEDIT” into the search bar and press “Enter.” If you are using Windows XP, type “REGEDIT” into “RUN” and click “OK.” Go to “File > Export” to make a backup of your registry. Name the backup and click “Save.” Click “HK_LOCAL_MACHINE” from the side-menu and select “SOFTWARE.” Click “Microsoft” and select “Windows Live.” Delete the “HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Messenger’ /f” and “REG DELETE HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows Live\Communications Clients\Shared /f ” registry keys.
