Deleting the website history on a computer is beneficial for privacy reasons if you do not want your employer, a coworker or a family member to know the places you visit on the Internet. The steps to delete this history are different for each browser you use to access the Internet. Three browsers–Internet Explorer 8, Mozilla Firefox 3.6 and Google Chrome 4.1–enable you to delete your website history with a few clicks of the mouse. Open Internet Explorer by going to “Start,” “All Programs,” “Internet Explorer.” Click “Safety,” Delete Browsing History. Place a check mark in the History box. If you are concerned about someone using your passwords or other information, you can place checks in all of these boxes and even delete the data saved from your favorite websites by unchecking the box beside “Preserve Favorites website data.” Click the “Delete” button. Internet Explorer will delete the website history and the window will close when finished. Open Mozilla Firefox by going to “Start,
