How Do You Delete The Single Entry Address Bar With Internet Explorer?
On occasion, you may want to delete an entry on your Internet Explorer drop-down address bar. If you share your computer with a coworker or a family member you may want to do this to hide the fact that you were surfing on a particular site. To do this, you can go into your system’s registry. The process takes about five minutes. Close all applications and programs that are running on your computer, including your Internet Explorer. Press the “Windows” and “R” key together on your keyboard. The “Run” utility will open. Enter “regedit” (without the quotes) in the box and hit the “Enter” key on your keyboard. Drill down to “HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Typed URLs” in the folder tree on the left side column. A list of URLs and their addresses will appear in the main window. Right-click on the address that you want to remove. Scroll down and click “Delete.” Close all windows.
