How Do You Delete The Restore Points From System Volume Information?
Restore points in Windows may consume as much as 12 percent of the space on the hard drive. Windows operating systems provide an interface for deleting older restore points from the volume. Using the Disk Cleanup utility, disk space may be reclaimed by safely deleting obsolete restore points and shadow copies of Windows from the hard drive. With just a few easy steps, older restore points will quickly be removed. Click the Windows “Start” button. Right-click “Computer” and select “Manage” from the submenu. Right-click on the C: drive in the Computer Management console. Select “Properties” from the submenu. Click the “Disk Cleanup” button on the Properties page. Click the “More Options” tab. Click the button labeled “Cleanup” in the “System Restore and Shadow Copies” section. Confirm by clicking the “Delete” button in the verification dialog box. Restore points and shadow copies are instantly and quickly deleted.
