How Do You Delete The History Of Visited Sites On A PC?
Neither a computer nor its operating system keeps track of the websites you have visited. Rather, this task falls on the browsers that you search the Internet with. Yes, some of the information is stored in the registry, but again, the browsers are responsible for keeping track and deleting previously viewed sites. Browsers keep a record of everywhere you have been on the Internet. They continually store information about your passwords, web addresses, usernames, search bars and data form links. Open the Internet Explorer browser. Click on the “Tools” menu and select “Delete Browsing History…” from the drop-down submenu. The “Delete Browsing History” window will open. There are several options available to you (see Figure 1) depending on the level of deletion you would like. Click the “Delete history…” button in the “History” section of the window.
