If you own multiple digital cameras and do not want to have to switch between multiple USB cables in order to transfer your pictures, you can use a memory card reader that will allow you to move images to your PC or Mac computer. When viewing images on a memory card reader, you can also choose to delete certain pictures in order to create more free space on your camera’s memory card. Eject the memory card from your digital camera and insert it into the memory card reader. Connect the memory card reader to one of the open USB ports on your PC computer. Open the start menu and click on the “My Computer” icon. Double-click on the icon that appears for the memory card reader. Typically, the memory card reader will be labeled as the “E:” drive. Highlight the pictures you want to delete and drag them to the “Recycle Bin” icon on the Windows desktop. Empty the bin to delete the pictures from the memory card reader.
