How Do You Delete Non-DOS Partition Software?
Before you can install Windows, you need to delete a non-DOS partition. Linux, for example, does not use the same partition format that is used by Windows. If a partition is formatted for something other than Windows, you can delete it using a Windows boot CD, DVD or floppy disk. Once the partition is deleted, you can use it for storage space in your Windows session. You can delete a non-DOS partition using the fdisk application. Insert your boot disk into the drive and reboot the machine. Whether you are using a CD or floppy disk, you are started into a DOS prompt.
