How Do You Delete Internet Explorer From Windows?
Every version of the Microsoft Windows operating system includes the Internet Explorer web browser, but you have the option of removing it from your computer. If you prefer to use another web browser, such as Chrome or Firefox, removing Internet Explorer will free up space on your hard drive. You can delete Internet Explorer from your Windows machine by using the “Add/Remove Programs” console in the Control Panel. Click the Windows “Start” button and select “Control Panel.” Double-click the “Add/Remove Programs” icon. In Vista, the icon is labeled “Programs and Features.” This opens a new window showing a list of programs installed on your computer. Click the “Windows Internet Explorer” icon in the list of programs. You may have several versions of the web browser installed. Select the version you want to delete. Click the “Remove” button if your operating system is older than Windows Vista. If you have Vista, click the “Uninstall” button. Click “Yes” to confirm your removal selection.
