Instant messaging, or IM, programs help you communicate by text with family and friends all over the world. You can save as many contacts as you like in your IM program and easily chat with anyone you place on your buddy list. If you are uninterested in continuing communication with a certain person, you can delete the contact. This process is simple regardless of whether you are using AOL Instant Messenger (AIM), Skype, Windows Live Messenger or Yahoo! Messenger.
