How Do You Delete File Compaq Recovery Partition?
Hewlett Packard includes a recovery partition on its HP and Compaq desktops and laptops. This partition can be used to restore a computer that is not functioning correctly. However, this partition takes up four to ten gigabytes of space, so some computer users who are space-conscious prefer to delete it. Deleting a Compaq recovery partition is often as easy as changing a setting in the HP or Compaq Recovery Manager. Click the “Start” button located on the bottom left of the screen. Type “Recovery” in the “Search Field.” Click on “Recovery Manager.” Click “Advanced options” in “Recovery Manager.” Click “Remove recovery partition” and then click “Next.” Click “Yes” when asked if you want to delete the partition. Then click “Next.” Wait for the removal process to complete and for the computer to restart. Once it does, your recovery partition has been removed.
