Microsoft Internet Explorer is one of the most widely used web browsers. It has a functionality which tries to auto populate a website based on what you type in the address bar. This information comes from several locations in the browser, such as your web history and your favorites. If you would like to remove these entries or keep your computer from populating this field, there are several things you can try. Open Internet Explorer on your computer. When the program opens, click on the “Tools” menu button at the top of the screen and click on “Delete Browsing History.” Click on the check box next to “Preserve Favorites website data” to remove the check box for that option.
