How Do You Decoupage A Jewelry Box?
With decoupage, you glue paper cutouts to an object to create a new look or enhance the object’s style. Use decoupage to make an old jewelry box fresh. The process is so simple, your children can assist in this project. Choose the pictures or designs you want on the jewelry box. Look through magazines, newspapers or your favorite website to find the perfect images. Cut the pictures out, staying as close to the image’s edges as possible. Use a craft knife for cutting small details out of the paper. Lay the pictures out and decide where to put them on the box. Use a pen or pencil to mark the back of the paper and the place on the jewelry box where the paper will be. For example, mark a “1” on the back of the picture and a corresponding “1” on the place you want to put the picture on the box. Pour a generous amount of glue onto the plate.
