How Do You Decorate Using Old Window Frames?
It doesn’t take a lot of time or money to turn old, discarded items into original, home decorating accents. If you’ve found a treasure trove of old windows at a yard sale or flea market, you can use them to add interest to your garden or any room of your house, with a few simple tricks. Hinge two identical, glassless window frames together, to make a floor or table-top display for memorabilia. Attach small hooks across the tops of the frames and hang collectibles, such as: ornaments, spoons, vintage hankies or jewelry. Take a long, narrow window, with glass still intact, and add four old table legs to the corners for a beautiful, glass table. Leave it in its original faded beauty, or sand the old paint off and repaint the frame and legs. This is an especially great look for a porch, patio or garden area. Paint the frames in colorful shades to match your child’s room and paint some clothespins in a contrasting color. Attach the clothespins around the outside edges of the window frame. L
