How Do You Decorate Easter Eggs With Chalk?
Sure some people are still buying the cheap egg coloring kits and there are lots of new ones out but have you ever noticed the eggs are just ok at best? It’s time for some eggs that become a conversation piece rather than 6 coffee cups with 6 different color dyes in them. Apply a coat of primer to each egg. Mix 1/4 cup of acrylic paint with 1 1/2 teaspoons of non-sanded grout. Mix well. Paint two generous coats of paint, allowing each layer to dry before adding the next. Once the two layers are dry, LIGHTLY sand the entire egg. Wipe away dust with a damp cloth. Repeat this process until you have 6 coats of paint. Let dry completely. Draw on the egg with chalk. Most colors rub away easily, however a few need a damp cloth to be removed. Plain black store bought chalkboard paint would also be great for dramatic eggs.
