How Do You Decorate A Wall With String Lights?
String lights, or Christmas lights, are a great way to add a little extra flair to a room without overdoing the remodeling budget. They come in a variety of sizes, colors and shapes that can complement practically any decor in any room of the house. Measure the length of your wall. Measure the length of your string lights. Connect additional lights if needed. Plug in and test lights before installing. Place thumb tacks or hammer in nails about a foot apart along the walls to be decorated. Hang up string lights by attaching them to the thumb tacks or nails as you go, draping them between tacks, if desired. Run light cord to an outlet. Use an inexpensive (about $15) cord cover kit to make the cord less visible or try running the cord down a corner of the room. Room corners are easy to cover with plants or other household items. Wall-colored tape also could help hide unsightly electrical cords.
