Here’s a painting tip that will help you to make the best of your small space: The application of a light color to your walls will make your room seem larger than it truly is. If your ceilings seem too low, paint them a color lighter than the walls. This will make the ceiling seem higher. If you paint the walls a lighter color than the ceiling, the room itself will seem larger. Put a full length mirror on the narrowest wall of a rectangular room. I installed a full floor to ceiling mirror in one corner of my room, opposite a window and it makes the room look twice as big. Use modular furniture that can be configured according to the needs of the room. I have no couch, but instead two easy chairs on wheels, and two recliners. I would recommend a hanging bracket from the wall or ceiling for the TV, if you have one. My computer desk in on wheels, as well, so I can move it around depending on the space I need. I have a laptop, which is better for a small space.
