How Do You Decorate A Cornice Board With Rosette Trim?
Decorating cornice boards by using rosette trim adds warmth and presence to window treatment. Rosettes can be incorporated into the millwork of the cornice or added to the upholstery that covers the cornice board. Step 1 Use wood rosette blocks at the corners of a wood cornice board. These make a statement but are not too formal. Rosette blocks give the cornice a warm feeling (see Reference 1). Step 2 Fabric rosettes on a cornice covered in fabric are a luxurious way to dress a cornice board. A single rosette offers formality and elegance to a cornice. Step 3 Consider size and scale of rosettes in relation to the size of the cornice board. For instance, several large rosettes can be cumbersome. Likewise, very small rosettes may not be a substantial trim for the cornice you are dressing.
