How do you decide which titles to include in ComicBase?
Our goal is to come as close to covering every English language comic as possible. For us to cover a comic, all that is required is that it be a comic book–a broad scope indeed, but one which rules out comic strip collections, promotional materials, comic magazines, and books about comics. A notable exception to this is the inclusion of the the book Seduction of the Innocent, due to its extraordinary significance in comic history. While we don’t discriminate in the titles we include in ComicBase, we do prioritize somewhat in moving certain titles to the front of the line in our review process. Golden Age and “important” titles get preferential treatment, as do titles which are generating a lot of current interest.
