It depends on the level of rudeness. If it has escalated to the point where your concentration at work is failing and your main focus is avoiding the person at every turn, the best thing to do initially is to confront the individual. You should express yourself clearly and kindly as to the problem at hand and then give it a few days up to a week. If behavior has improved, you’re all set.
