How Do You Deal With Morning Sickness At Work?
Being a working woman while pregnant is hard–especially during the first trimester when morning sickness is at it’s worst. For many women, morning sickness is actually all day sickness and can interfere with work and other obligations. There are only a limited number of sick days to take, so what can you do? Take small bites of the grain group throughout the day. This means crackers, biscuits, pretzels, muffins, and rice cakes. Eating may feel like the last thing you want to do, but it is important to keep a little something in your belly at all times. Pack your own lunch. If you typically go out to eat for lunch or grab something at the cafeteria, it can be very hard to find something tolerable for your rolling stomach. Most fast food is high in fat which is very hard for you to digest and will make you even more nauseated. Don’t eat around other people. Avoid cafeterias and break rooms.
