How Do You Deal With Fire Ant Bites?
No bite is worse than a fire ant bite. These tiny insects have quite a sting. I remember the day we moved into our Florida house my son was about 8 years old and he ran out into the back yard by the lake to see if there were any fish or turtles and he started screaming. He had stepped right in the middle of a fire ant hill! I got the little bugs off of him but he was miserable with the bites he got. He got about 6 or 7 bites and they immediately became raised pustules. Our new neighbor quickly gave us a lesson in fire ants. You are not to scratch fire ant bites since it can leave you with scars. The bite will itch and burn too so be careful especially when kids get these bites. If you get too many bites you might need to seek medical treatment. You might be allergic. Take a pain reliever as soon as you can. Fire ant bites can be very painful with burning and itching. Use an anti-inflamatory cream to help it not swell too much.
