How Do You Deal With An Abusive Father?
• Tell your father how you feel. Tell him that he makes you feel unappreciated with his words, and that you’d like him to be a bit less harsh. If this doesn’t work, don’t push it. • Tell someone else. If he constantly is mean and abusive towards you, tell your mother, grandparent, a teacher, or any adult in general. It could possibly evolve into something more, and if it does, you want someone else to know. • Consider calling Child Services Hotline. They are on the line 24/7, and will help you. Do not hesitate to call them if you only live with your father. You may possibly be put in Foster Care. Change your first and last name if threatened. Consider also changing your phone number, or moving and not leaving an updated address. If your father continues to stalk you, consider calling the police.
