How Do You Darken Blond Hair Without It Turning A Funny Color?
Blond hair is typically, the easiest to color. The lighter the shade of blond, the more true this tends to be. Because blond hair has less color, you don’t have to remove (or lift) as much color out to darken your hair. This means that blond hair tends to take on the color as close to the sample as possible. So when dyeing blond hair a darker color, expect to get the color shown. To avoid turning your hair any sort of funny color, be sure to follow all the dye’s instructions and do not add anything to it. Also be sure to select a color that will look good with your skin tone, as selecting a color that goes poorly with your skin tone is what can cause an apparently, funny shade. Use dye and developer from the same manufacturer. So if using Clairol dye, use Clairol’s developer.
