The heel toe is a hip-hop dance step that is still used today, although it was mostly affiliated with more old-school hip-hop. The move is usually done in comfortable sneakers on a concrete floor. The heel toe has numerous variations that can be expanded upon while the dancer is freestyling. The most important aspect to the heel toe is that the dancer appears to be weightless, which can be accomplished by performing the dance step entirely on the balls and heels of the dancer’s feet. Jump up in the air, landing with your right foot directly in front of your left foot, with both feet positioned one after the other and angled slightly to the right. Pivot with your right foot to the right until your left foot naturally falls about one foot to the left.
