How Do You Cut Pink (And Blue) Foam Board Insulation To Size?
Foam board is a high density insulation board with a relatively high R-value. Foam board is sold in pink or blue colors to differentiate it from white styrofoam board. (The trade name of Pink Foam Board is Foamular Rigid Foam Insulation. Pink Foam Board is usually sold at Home Depot. Blue Foam Board is sold at Lowe’s under the brand name Dow Foam Board.) Mark the foam board with a tape measure. Use a pen or magic marker to mark the measurements you need to cut. Get a long, straight drywall ruler, or a straight board to use as a guide. Align the ruler or straight edge along the measurement markings. Use your knife to score the foam board in a straight line down the edge of the ruler or straight edge.
