How Do You Cut Out Party Invitations?
Once you’ve designed your party invitations, you can save a substantial amount of money by choosing to print them out on your home computer rather than paying a printing company. Print several invitations on each sheet of printing paper and cut them out. Use a quilter’s rotary cutter to cut straight, crisp edges for your party invitations. Lay the paper over a work surface designed for this purpose, like a cutting board or a quilting board. Apply clamps or weights to secure the paper so it doesn’t shift while you cut. Lay a straight edge down, like a level or a quilter’s measuring tool, and use it as a guide to run your rotary blade up to create a straight line. Choose very sharp scissors to cut your party invitations. Cut the invitations from each other, leaving you smaller paper to work with. Move the paper rather than the scissors to get a clean edge. Trim away any slivers of paper that may have formed as you cut.
