How Do You Cut In With A Paint Sprayer?
Painting is a skill that can only be perfected with practice and time. One of the most difficult tasks in painting is the art of “cutting in.” Cutting in is the term used to describe applying paint next to an area that is a different color, or a surface that will not get paint at all, such as between a wall and the ceiling or baseboards. In order to cut in with your sprayer you will need a few tools, some practice and a bit of know-how. Load your spray gun with paint. Unscrew the supply cup from your spray gun. Pour paint into the cup, filling it half full. Add water to make it three-quarters full. Stir the paint and water mixture to combine the ingredients completely. Reattach the cup onto your paint gun. Plug the gun into a power supply, aim into the paint bucket and squeeze the trigger to prime the gun.
