How Do You Cut Ceramic Tile On An Angle?
We think of ceramic tiles as squares or rectangles. But what if you need a triangular tile? That calls for an angle cut. When cutting wood, an angled cut is easy enough, but ceramic tile is totally different. But as long as you have access to a diamond tile cutting saw you can cut make angle cuts with as much ease as cutting through wood with a table saw. Lay a flat square or rectangular tile on a work surface. With the glazed side of the tile facing up, lay a strip of masking tape across it at the general angle of the required cut. Lay a ruler over the masking tape. Adjust the ruler’s position to the precise angle required. Take a grease pencil and draw a line along the edge of the ruler. Position the tile on the bed of the electric tile cutting saw. Line the edge of the diamond saw blade up with the grease pencil line. Turn the saw on and wait for the water to start flowing.
