Cutting aluminum extrusions on a miter saw is a quick method for sizing the material to length. Although not highly accurate, the material can be cut to within a tolerance of 1/16 of an inch. Using the miter saw will also allow the operator to cut the aluminum extrusion with compound angles. This especially is useful when having to mate the extrusion material into corners or at complicated angles.
