The shape of a heart is the universal symbol for love. Just a couple of simple curves going to a point are all it takes to say “I love you.” But sometimes when you try to make this symbol, especially over and over again, it just doesn’t look quite right. Maybe the sides are lopsided, or the heart is too long, too wide or just plain boring. Follow the instructions below to cut a great heart shape you can use over and over again in decorations, on cards, or in your special love letters. From the scrap paper cut a square that is approximately the same height as the heart you want to make. Fold and crease the scrap paper in half. This way both halves of the heart will be identical, not lopsided. For additional guidelines, gently fold the paper in quarters just to mark the halfway point.
