Irish step dancers wear their hair curly for all of their performances. Creating spiral curls is easy to do if you plan ahead. The length of your hair doesn’t matter, unless it is very short. If your locks are cropped, purchase curly hair extensions, or a wig to clip into your own hair to add length. The curling technique works on any hair type, even hair that is very fine or thin. Shampoo your hair one to two days before curling it. Slightly dirty hair holds the curl longer. Use a tiny bit of conditioner at the bottom of your hair. Comb it out to remove tangles. Rinse it out so that hair will hold the style. Add some mousse or spray gel to wet hair and comb it though, so all the strands are evenly coated. Let hair air dry a bit.
