Scrunchies offer a decorative, easy way to hold back medium to long hair. Even if you’re fairly new at crocheting, a scrunchie doesn’t take long to make. Customize the scrunchie by choosing different colors, textures and styles of yarn. For an extra sparkly and decorative twist, add beads to the scrunchie. Choose the color yarn and beads you want to use. Use one color of yarn and one or two colors of beads. You will need 36 mini pony beads in a single color or 18 each of two coordinating colors. Try black yarn and orange and yellow beads for a Halloween scrunchie or white yarn and red and green beads for Christmas. Thread the end of the yarn into the yarn needle; the other end of the yarn will still be in the skein or ball.
