How Do You Create Window Mounts For Outdoor Christmas Lights?
Mounting Christmas lights in recessed outdoor windows can be made much easier with the creation of simple frames. Properly sized, window frames can make light installation quick and relatively hassle-free every year. Identify the windows that will accept window frames. Windows need to be recessed at least 1/2 inch to accept frames. Windows that sit flush against the house wall cannot hold frames. Measure the interior perimeter of your recessed windows with the tape measure. Cut the PVC pipe into lengths with the saw, based on your measurements. Assume that you will need one length of pipe for each side of the window’s perimeter. Assemble the frames using your cut piping and the PVC elbows, tapping each joint with the mallet. You may need to trim the pipe edges to account for the length of the elbows. The goal is to create a simple square that will fit snugly into the window recess. Affix the Christmas lights to the window frames using the zip ties. Press the window frames into the wind
