How Do You Create Summer Fun Activities For Kids?
Being outside is where kids can spend a lot of their summer so take advantage of the great outdoors to create ‘going green’ summer fun activities for kids. Going green means recycle, reduce and reuse and all of these concepts can be turned in to projects, crafts, and learning for kids. Summer Learning Fun for Kids • Take advantage of being able to do fun activities outside and talk to the kids about plants, birds and water conservation. • Water conservation and ‘reuse’ can come together by making a rain barrel and use the water throughout the summer to water the plants, garden, and trees in the yard. See ‘How to Build a Rain Barrel’ in the resource section. • Go to a new park, the zoo, or a beach you have not been to before and see what is different about it compared to the park, zoo, or beach you usually go to. • Then enjoy and explore. Spend some time showing and talking to your kids about nature and teach them to treat their environment with respect. Summer Activity Craft by Reusing
