How Do You Create Patio Mosaic Tabletops Using Found Recycled Table Tops?
Scavenger hunt Greneteam-project.A Mosaic creative Recycling project using chipped cups, plates and broken tiles. The Greneteam made this the community venture, going to the local thrift shops for brightly colored plates, tiles and anything ceramic and glazed for the creative workshop. Cover floor area with newspapers or drop cloth.Indoor is ok as this process is not toxic. I sort colors in clear freezer bags then label shoe boxes for your Tile pieces.It’s best if you can sketch pattern directly on the table using colored chalk.We found an image on the computer for this design.This table was found on the side of the road. recycled into an herb growing table top. Place the tiles on the design using the larger pieces for the outer image and fill in with the pieces. Do not glue down with mastic yet. Use small spatula and Butter each tile with mastic and place as close together as possible. Fill in with chips. Let dry overnight. Mix grout in a small container and spread over all the tiles,
