How Do You Create Paper Wall Hangings?
Paper can be an enchanting part of your home decor outside of your children’s crayon drawings on the fridge. With the right kind of paper and design, you can create a simple yet elegant item to put in your living room, office or bedroom. Cut a piece of origami paper so that it’s about 22 inches by 3 inches. Fold it horizontally in half, keeping the colored side on the outside of the project. Fold the right-hand corner of the paper down to the other edge, just enough to make a triangle. Then bisect that triangle by folding it in half. Fold the triangle to the back of the project gently. Holding the protruding tip, slowly roll the paper around the center to create a conical shape. Glue the remaining piece to the rose and make a hole in its base. Continue making as many roses as you wish. Cut the fishing line to a desired length and tie it onto the dowel.
