How Do You Create Metallic Effect In Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0?
A metallic effect is an easy effect to create and can serve as the background for many different types of images. It is an effect that can be achieved by both beginning and advanced users. Once this technique is mastered it can be applied to text and other parts of any image. Set your background color to a medium gray by clicking on the background color in the Tool Bar and setting the color at # 555555 in the dialogue box. Create a new image by choosing “File > New” or clicking “Control + N.” In the dialogue box name your image “Metallic Effect.” Choose “Default PhotoShop Elements Size” in the Preset box. Set the resolution to 72 and Color Mode to “Background Color.” Click “OK.” If the Layer Palette is not visible, choose “Window > Layers.” Double click on the “Background” layer in the Layer Palette. Rename this layer “Metal.” Choose “Filter > Noise > Add Noise.” In the dialogue box, set amount to 10 percent, check Gaussian and Monochromatic. Click “OK.” Choose”Filter > Blur > Motion B
