How Do You Create Family Fun Activities Indoors?
Children can be quite simple to entertain. They love to get a little one-on-one time with you and act silly. Here are some low to no cost ideas for family fun without having to leave home. Play indoor hide-n-seek. Make sure to mention what areas of the home may be off limits. I like to keep the bathroom off limits to keep from the little ones hurting themselves in the tub. If it is dark enough, you can put a spooky twist on the game and turn out the lights. Whoever is it will have to use a flashlight to find where everyone is hiding. Pretend to be an explorer. Draw a quick sketch of your home and use it as a map. Get a favorite toy or possession and place somewhere in your home. Be explorers and use the map to find the treasure. Make an indoor picnic. Let the children help you prepare the picnic meal. Grab a sheet and spread it on the floor. No television allowed. Just food, music and conversation. You can even pretend that you are in a park.
