Many times, pictures of babies are sent out through email before a formal birth announcement has been created. People still enjoy receiving a formal birth announcement, plus it can be put in the baby book. Take a digital picture of the baby. Make sure that the background of the picture is not cluttered and you have good lighting. Purchase 4-inch by 6-inch blank folded greeting cards. The cards can be whatever color you desire. Using a word processing computer program, type the information you want into the program on a 4-inch by 6-inch page. Include the baby’s name, birth date, birth time, and birth weight on the announcement. Center it on the page. Print the birth announcement information on the inside of each of the folded cards with an ink jet printer.
