Before Microsoft Word 2007, a Drawing Canvas would simply appear when a user clicked an AutoShape to insert. Now, a little more work is required. Follow these steps to get a Drawing Canvas open where you can freely manipulate photos, Clip Art, shapes, and more without using the space bar or Enter key. Open Microsoft Word. Click the “Insert” tab in the upper left corner of the screen (next to the “Home” tab).
