How Do You Create And Load A Simple Bind File In City Of Villains?

0

Many a newbie start playing City of Villains and have no idea what binds are. This article will cover the basics of creating a simple bind file and how to load it into CoV. I will use for my example a character I once played that was a Stone/Stone Brute. Step 1 Create a new txt file and name it whatever you want (keeping the extension txt). So for instance my bind file would be Brute.txt Step 2 Unlike in the game itself you do not have to enter the word “Bind” at the beginning of every sentence. You simply enter the key you want the power/movement bound to(always in caps) and then the action in quotation marks. Step 3 In order to cause a power to be executed by name the command is “powexec_name Name of power here” so an entire bind string would look like this in the text file: F “powexec_name Rock Armor”. Step 4 Now enter in your text file the letter and the power you want to use after it like this: C “powexec_name Rooted”. Do this for the powers you want to use single key binds on now
